Ashley's Uncle Dave
Ashley's Uncle Dave is a local firefighter who participated in a stair climb on March 8th to raise funds for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). He did this at the Columbia Center in downtown Seattle alongside several thousand other firefighters who climbed more than 1300 steps wearing full fire gear and SCBA.
Dave is passionate about this event, training relentlessly on his days off. In this picture he partnered with his co-workers to raise money by working at a local restaurant. He's been clear with me this is not about him but about his love for his niece. Thanks to all who helped him him raise more than $1400 toward a cure. He climbed more than 69 flights of stairs.
