Ashley's Closet is the missionary arm of our youth group. Last year we had a successful clothing drive.  We collected and sorted new and gently used clothing from our community and donated the youth clothing to the local clothes closet for OC students. We also sent several boxes of clothes with our missionaries to Guatemala. Please read this article to learn more about the blanket drive.

Do you know we have over 200 youth in our Oregon City School District that are homeless?  We are kicking off our second annual Ashley's Closet clothing drive.  Please donate new and gently used clothing for youth.  It will benefit local youth in our community.  For your convenience you may drop the clothing off at our church anytime.  We will have a special collection at our Neighborhood Block Party on July 31st too.

We meet every Sunday from 5 - 6:30 at Meggan's Corner (behind our church) which is located at 18955 S South End Rd in Oregon City.

Sunday - 08/08/2010 – Meet at Meggan's Corner at 1pm– Instead of our regular youth group meeting we'll meet at Meggan's Corner at 1pm to celebrate all of the hard work of youth group members who have helped with VBS and car washes. We'll do this with a pizza party.

Also, we've been collecting lots of new and gently used youth clothing. We'll take the time this Sunday to prepare to give it away.

Sunday - 08/15/2010 – Car Wash! – Youth group members to wash cars after church to raise money for future events.

Also, later this day, from 5 - 7pm we will be holding a BBQ for youth group members and their family members. If you've not been attending youth group and are going into the 7th grade or higher, please consider coming to meet us at this informal event. An RSVP is required. Contact us for more details.

 The OCUMC Youth Group will be helping one of their congregation members, Ray Watts, by leading a group to painting his house on Saturday July 17th. As you can see from the photos here his house needs some work. Please contact us if you would like to help us out. Use our contact page.
